about
the photographer & author

it was back in the year 2000 when i got myself interested in photography. back then, i was always interested in images caught in magazines like National Geographic or TIME. for me, those images represented not only a proof of existence, but also a memory of that moment.
i finally got myself an entry level film SLR which iÕm still using now. a few years later, i bought myself a Nikon FE so that i can shoot B&W and colour simultaneously.
i shoot both black & white and colour, which i usually develop my own black & white negatives. digital photography is not something i can afford at the present, therefore i decided to concentrate on using film.
these days I conceptualise my thoughts and ideas before going out with my cameras, and that helped me to focus in my photography. then i started to write along with my photographs to give a better description on my views, thoughts and experiences while iÕm out shooting. therefore, i would like to call my style as documentary photography these days.
Perspectiveª is my personal website that lets me share my photographs and articles which i have written over the past.
currently, iÕm pursuing my medical career in Melaka Manipal Medical College (MMMC) and already in the fourth year of my education.
iÕm also a freelance photographer/author for articles in CHIP Photo Video magazine (starting from April Õ06 issue). in August 2005, i had a joint gallery held in Long Black Caf, SS2 with fellow photographers Eugene Koh, Gan Jo Han and Pratiwi Utari. the gallery was also featured in TheStar education column last year.
